The Mission of the Lake and Penninsula School District is to develop productive citizens who are positive role models, self-directed learners, academically prepared and resilient. We will accomplish this through our standards based system in a safe, culturally sensitive environment with an emphasis on technology, extended opportunities and comitted partnerships.

And here at Newhalen School, we do our best to meet those standards every day in the educating of our community's children. We also strive to do our part for the community by providing our facilities for gym use and community activities. It's hard to live in Alaska, and we all have to help out.
